The 2020 Housing Our Own-Wilmette Jeep Raffle drawing was held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm. A total of 211 tickets were sold. The winner was Steven Reinisch of Wilmette. Mr. Reinisch will receive a cash prize of $10,028.75.

The 2019 Housing Our Own- Wilmette Jeep Raffle drawing was held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 5:30pm. A total of 274 tickets were sold. The winner was George Rafeedie of Wilmette. Mr. Rafeedie will receive a cash prize of $13,062.50.

With the Village of Wilmette closing on the sale of 611 Green Bay Road on November 13th, an $80,000 housing contribution was made from M&R Development to the Village of Wilmette. The Village in turn transferred the full $80,000 to Housing Our Own-Wilmette to support ongoing housing assistance in the community. These additional funds will help ensure that Housing Our Own can continue to provide much needed assistance for at least two additional years.

In August, the Wilmette Village Board appointed nine members to the Housing Our Own-Wilmette Board of Directors. Board members are volunteers from the Wilmette community and do not receive compensation for their service. At the request of Village President Bob Bielinski, Board member Joan Criswell-Merrilees has agreed to serve as Chair of the Board. The Board will be meeting quarterly to formulate a fundraising and marketing strategy and to review the guidelines and criteria for housing assistance.
